Eric P. Blank is the founder and Managing Attorney of Blank Law & Technology P.S. (formerly Blank & Associates P.S.).
Mr. Blank has conducted more than 100 investigations into computer and software-related torts and employee misconduct. He has provided defense and prosecution on an expedited basis of intellectual property claims, and the release and protection of new products. Over the past several years, Mr. Blank and the other employees of Blank Law & Technology have counseled companies ranging from new businesses to a host of major corporations located across the United States and Canada and throughout the world. The objective for each representation is the same: to provide insightful, dedicated, creative and efficient solutions that help clients succeed.
Mr. Blank's practice includes electronic evidence support services in litigation and investigations through Blank Law & Technology's Electronic Document Investigation (EDI) services. To accommodate the technical requirements inherent to such matters, Mr. Blank works closely with staff engineers and technicians familiar with electronic evidence and computer forensic issues.
Mr. Blank and other employees of and consultants to Blank Law & Technology have testified as fact or expert witnesses in state and federal courts, and before administrative hearing officers and arbitrators, on more than 100 occasions. Mr. Blank has personally testified in the area of computer forensics and electronic discovery.
Prior to founding Blank Law & Technology P.S., Mr. Blank was a shareholder of Riddell Williams, P.S., a full-service law firm with its offices in Seattle, Washington. In 1999, Riddell Williams and Mr. Blank formed Bureau 1030 LLC, an independent technology company designed to bridge the gap between law and the emerging multimedia economy.
Mr. Blank speaks regularly on a number of topics related to intellectual property law, document management, computers, and the Internet. He also presents on the topics of obtaining injunctions, seizing evidence and other emergency relief.
Mr. Blank received his J.D., cum laude, from the University of Michigan Law School and is admitted to practice in Washington state. Prior to beginning his career as an attorney, Mr. Blank was a highly decorated police officer (and briefly sergeant) with the Metropolitan Police Department in Washington D.C. For this and other work, he has held extremely high federal security clearances.
Mr. Blank grew up in the Middle East as the son of a U.S. Government civil servant. He is fluent in French and conversational in Arabic.
